Nara Bus Pass
Q1.Where can I get the PASS?
You can buy the PASS at Nara Kotsu Ticket Office like the Kintetsu Nara Bus Information Center (Nara Line House), JR Nara Bus Information Center. And you also can get the PASS from the “Travel Desk” in Terminal 1 of Kansai International Airport. To know more, please turn to Bus Stops & Ticket Offices page.
Q2.How do I use the Nara Bus Pass?
It’s very easy. You can just show your Nara Bus Pass to the bus driver when you get on or off the bus and you will be allowed to use this bus.
Please note that there are three types of passes for different sections, and select the correct one.

Q3.What about Child tickets?
Child tickets are for those aged 6 to 12 and are just half the price of the adult fare.

Q4.Are there any discounts?
Just showing your bus pass will get you 20% off at the “Irie Taikichi Memorial Museum of Photography Nara City” and “Sugioka Kason Calligraphy Art Museum”. You will also receive a free Nara bus guide map in Japanese and English language. You can also get discounts or special offers at 40 restaurants and shops in Nara. Your pass can be used as often as you like within the period of validity, and will let you enjoy a more value-for-money holiday. Please enjoy it.
Airport Limousine Bus
Q1.Where can I buy a ticket?
Tickets from Kansai International Airport tomorrow are sold through ticket vending machines.
- If you are in terminal 1, please purchase tickets from the vending machine near the No. 9 bus stop on 1F.
- If you are in terminal 2, please purchase tickets from the vending machine near the No. 1 bus stop on 1F.

Q2.Can I reserve a ticket?
Reservations are available for buses from Nara to Kansai International Airport, but not the reverse.
Q3.Is it necessary to reserve a seat?
Since there is a possibility that all the seats in the bus are occupied, we do recommend a reservation.
Q4.What are the rules regarding baggage?
Each passenger can Check up to two pieces of baggage, and can use the trunk room for free. However, Please note that we cannot accept baggage over 30kg x 0.25㎥. Individual baggage must not exceed 2m in length.
Q5.How about the child fare?
A child fare is the half of an adult fare. Please purchase a full-fare adult ticket for children aged 13 or over. Purchase child tickets for those aged 6 to 12. Check here to find out how much to pay for children below 5.
Sightseeing Bus
Q1.Where can I catch the tour bus?
Our Regular Sightseeing Bus departs from the NO.4 bus stops in front of JR Nara station and the NO.20 bus stops in front of Kintetsu Nara station. Check the timetable and catch a bus from these locations.

Q2.How can I pay fares?
You can pay on the day of the tour.
Please make the payment in Japanese yen at each Nara Kotsu Ticket Office (the Nara kotsu Regular Sightseeing Bus departure point in front of the JR or Kintetsu Nara station).
Payment must be made in cash (no credit cards are accepted).
Q3.What do I do about lunch?
Lunch is optional in Nara Kotsu regular tour course.
For tour course C only, visitors can make a reservation at the ticket office.
The lunch charges about 1,000 Japanese yen.
In other course, please help yourselves in anyway.
Q4.Are the buses non-smoking?
Yes, all of our buses are completely non-smoking.
We expect cooperation from all passengers as there is no smoking permitted on any bus.
In addition, some of the spots visited on the tours are also non-smoking.
Please remain aware of these areas.
Q5.Are there any explanations in foreign languages?
We can rent out an audio guide system in English and Chinese (free of charge).The number of available audio guide devices is limited.
Please apply for one when buying your ticket for a scheduled bus tour.
Please note that all explanations by our guides will be in Japanese.
